Mea Culpa

The accusation that TCDC had taken steps to block the website was serious, and demanded more than simply accepting the word of two sources - I should have spoken directly to Mark Ebrey, the TCDC Communications Manager, to verify the claim, and didn't.

I have already apologised to Mark in comments, but extend that apology to other senior staff who may have felt aggrieved by the unwarranted accusation.

As Mark has stated, the security program TCDC uses sometimes has a mind of its own, and is not alone in that. Clearly its actions were such as to convince those who spoke to me that their access had been denied. That this is untrue is good news, and I welcome it.

My other observations in the blog remain valid, even if the reason it was prompted was not.
