Scott's Maiden Speech

Here is Scott's speech:

Not too bad, all considered, if somewhat partisan, like all these homilies. He lectured the House on his 'liberal' anticedents, and beliefs.

His presentation was laboured, until the bell, and then he sped up like Kiwi in the home straight at Flemington.  He received loud acclamation from his side of the House.

Those who have consigned him to the back of the backbenches may have to reconsider sooner rather than later, but he does seem stilted and inflexible, and without too much of a mind of his own - he claims to have been a good servant of the Party since he was at school.
