New Chums (6)

It did not take long for the applicants to get the message. They have obviously decided that the attempt to avoid further a further publicly notified process was futile. Nice try fellas! But hey, we did not come down in the last shower of rain.

Here is the latest on the matter:

New Public Notification for New Chums Development

Coastal Land Trust Holdings has withdrawn its latest amended application for the proposed development at Te PungaPunga Station.

They will now submit a new application enabling a new publically notified consent process to take place.

Council will now work out a revised schedule around the notification process with a formal public notification beginning later this month.

People will have 20 working days to make a submission. Council will also be contacting everyone who made a submission on the original application informing them of the new publically notified consent.

A new submission will now be needed for anyone wanting to make comment on the new application when it becomes publically notified.

A hearing will be set down for early next year overseen by Independent Commissioners.

The previous application can still be viewed online here
