WRC's Plan 'B' for Aquaculture

Take a close look at Reihana and Geoffrey Robinson's article on 'Scoop' today.

It is quite frightening that we are facing this kind of determination both at central Government and within the WRC to push forward with these plans, if necessary without any proper environmental examination. It was fairly clear from the start that this was the agenda, and by the time the consequences are felt, it will be too late to do anything about it - fishing interests will not take a backward step.

There is no doubt that the Government regards the potential economic and political fall-out as too great to allow any interference by environmental interests. If Reihana and Geoffrey's assessment is correct, and their sources have proved impeccable in the past, then we are in for a rough ride. Hang on to the rowlocks!
