John Isdale's Work at TSM Recognised

Take a look at the video that was published on the 'NZ Herald' website today.

It is a splendid recognition of John's wonderful work over the years to preserve the mining history of the town through the Thames School of Mines, and the associated Museum - both may well have been lost to indifference in the fifties.

John has been behind a number of other heritage projects in the town as well as the School and Museum. He quietly and modestly beavers away promoting the town's history, and encouraging those who have the best interests of the town at heart.

The video is well worth a look - well done John!

excellent recognition of John's curation work at Thames School of Mines. Yes we are fortunate to have his passion for heritage and the school of mines is something that should be preserved for future generations
