John Darby redefines his New Chum Development - again!

Here is an interview pubished in the NZ Herald this morning that gives an indication that the New Chum development may be on the way again. This is not a surprise - John Darby does not like to sit on his hands forever, and that New Chum investment is surely burning a hole in his pocket.

So expect to see revised plans back before Council before too long, and the almost inevitable reaction from those who will never accept that any kind of development there is acceptable. This defies logic of course - neither Council nor Government are in any mood to purchase the property - it will have to compromise in the end, and a dozen or so really high priced lots set well back behind the Reserve, and with access to the beach is the most likely outcome.
