Chief Executive's Report - 13 May Meeting

This Report is well worth a gander It gives good background on a number of current issues, including District Plan progress, Cathedral Walkway,  and Treaty settlement - outdated I suspect by recent developments already noted by Paul Majurey in regard to cross-boundary issues.

What is missing is any reference to the Coromandel Harbour Project, and the Hauraki Rail Trail - I suspect because there is very little of a positive nature to report despite all the reports.

But there does appear to be good progress with roading and other tenders, due to be let this month. The cemetery's by-law comes will be dealt with on Wednesday, and it appears that they intend to try to meet the requests of the 'natural' burial people half-way.

The meeting will subject to a fairly intense public forum with proponents and opponents of fluoride presenting their arguments for and against the Jane Beck request for signage all around the town prior to the referendum later this year. That should be exciting!
