Easter Sunday Shop Opening Hours

Council will next week consider a recommendation that Easter Sunday shop opening hours restrictions be removed. though no one is obliged to open, or work on that day under the new Bylaw.

Lester Yates appears to have been the only Board Mmeber to have spoken against the move in Thames - for religious reasons.

Public consultation is proposed from 16 December to 27 January, with likely adoption on 21 February in time for the upcoming Easter period.

Not before time!
