Others Note Our Games Disappointment

The lack of expected success at the Games has not gone unnoticed.

Today's New York Times Sports Newsletter noted our uncharacteristic failure to register podium results as a headline story in todays issue.

Dammed depressing, but we have to face it and hold our breaths for better results over the next few days before we run out of hot prospects. It is not so much the US, but what will follow though on the other side of the Tasman as they continue to chalk up good results that knocks the stuffing sideways, that is for sure.

The Melbourne New Daily did have a heart warming story today on our good Samaritan kayaker - Mike Dawson, but I suspect that is just the lull before the storm of chortles that are sure to follow in due course. Just ignore it - it is probably down to drugs!
