Winnie Strikes The Right Note On GST

Winnies announcement at his weekend regional conference that NZ First will be backing the return of a substantial percentage of GST collected from tourists to district councils.

He won't find any argument here or anywhere else I suspect - it would really bridge the gap created by the necessity to provide specific facilities for their use, of which toilets are but one. There are myriad of facilities that would otherwise nor br required if it was not for the tide of people moving through favoured districts.

He is able to pick the Government off on a number of issues that will appeal to his demographic of whom there are a huge majority in this District, and Mayor Sandra won't lose any votes by getting in behind Winnie on this one. Others will follow.
